I like little automated scripts that do things. When I built my first smoothwall box, it was a big improvement over Windows' Internet Connection Sharing (ICS). I hated the dial-on-demand, and smoothwall was perfect.
Now, I'm finding the limitations. Thankfully, Perl is there to save the day.

===smoothwall (connect|disconnect|status)===
This script will let you connect, disconnect, and retrieve the current status of your smoothwall box. All from the command line!! This is perfect for putting into a script to auto-connect, do something, and disconnect. Enjoy!
