Thor needs an upgrade. One, because of this:
##
$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda3 19G 3.6G 14G 21% /
/dev/hda1 23M 14M 7.8M 65% /boot
none 506M 0 506M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/hdd1 28G 11G 16G 42% /mnt/backup
/dev/mapper/StorageArray-lvol0
859G 842G 18G 98% /mnt/bigdisk
##
18G out of 859G available!? 98% full!? Crazy.

So, I need to map out my goals and what I want it to do.

=====Goals=====
1) Lots more storage space - enough to last me at least another year given that I've grown ~ 400G in the past year
2) Easier DVD Ripping - simple enough that Tiff can do it
3) Better managed Music and Video collections - better tagged, better sorted, better understood of what's there
4) iPod integration - some way to synchronize my iPod without having to use iTunes would be awesome

===Hardware===
These things won't show up on the PurchaseList.

====New Hardware====
4x 400G SATA2 Drives @ $200 each = $800
Home Theateresque Case [˙4˙SilverStoneTek˙5˙ LC16m] ~ $270
Sound Blaster Live w/ COAX out ~ $30 on eBay

======Reused Hardware======
1x 400G SATA Drive
AMD Athlon64 3000+ and motherboard
1G RAM
Various system drives
DVD Drive
Video card w/ svideo out
AverTV Stereo card (BT848 based, I believe)
450W Power Supply
